How it works
From council PDFs to a map you can actually use
Councils publish their resource consent activity, but it’s scattered across PDFs and spreadsheets. We do the tedious part so you don’t have to.
We gather
Each month we read councils’ publicly published consent lists — the same documents anyone can download.
We tidy & place
We pin every address to the map and sort each consent into a plain-English category — no jargon, no council legalese.
You explore
Search an address, filter by type or date, or pan around the map. It’s free and there’s nothing to sign up for.

Resource consents cover far more than houses. Over the Fence tracks every category a council publishes, each colour-coded on the map.
